QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license,
- Trade school training in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and/or air conditioning systems or any equivalent training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties.

TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months

JOB GOAL: Assist in maintaining HVAC and Electrical systems to ensure safe and proper operation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains all safety requirements in terms of proper use and installation of electrical and A/C equipment such as switches, breakers, conduits, fire alarms, smoke detectors, fan and electrical motors, etc.

Keeps a record of work accomplished and cleans up work areas.

Periodically required to be on call for 24 hours.

Maintains accountability/records of all equipment assigned.

Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external customers including students, parents, co-workers, etc.

Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, wok processes and financial performance. Assist in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Orients new co-workers and actively supports teamwork throughout the school system.

Gathers and removes litter.

Performs any additional duties assigned by superintendent and/or evaluator.
HVAC:
-
Assists in repairs and maintenance to all types of air conditioning and refrigeration units including replacing or repairing defective components, pumps, fans and replacing or repairing feeder lines.

Assists with gas, hot water, steam and hot air furnaces.
-
Assists with air handlers, ventilators, cooling coils and radiators along with other mechanical heating and ventilating equipment.

Monitors and coordinates control panels and thermostats of all systems with the Energy Manager to maintain standard and efficient working temperatures.

Performs regular preventative maintenance and boiler water treatment programs for all heating and air conditioning equipment.
Electrician:
-
Assists in repairs and installation of equipment such as switches, breakers, ballast, motors, conduits and wiring.

Assists in maintaining and labeling panels to ensure safe working operations.

Performs regular preventative maintenance to equipment and fixtures.
