- Valid Louisiana Teaching certificate
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 5 documented years of successful teaching
- Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties.

JOB GOAL: To improve quality of instruction within the school.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze student data to identify student learning goals
- Assist in the development of a universal school improvement plan
- Create a school assessment plan
- Monitor goal setting and activities designed to help reach goals
- Classroom follow-up and goal attainment for cluster groups and Individual Growth Plans (IGPs)
- Assess/Analyze teacher observation results
- Develop the long-range cluster plan, weekly cluster group meeting records, and activities with other members of the leadership team
- Lead cluster meetings weekly following the TAP/NIET Best Practices
- Provide appropriate follow-up in the classroom
- Assess all cluster groups’ progress toward goals
- Oversee groups of teachers in developing goals
- Provide instructional interventions with proven results
- Facilitate teacher proficiency with the new strategies through classroom-based follow-up
- Ensure that the progression of teacher skill development is aligned with changing student learning needs
- Conduct classroom observations and conferencing for both announced and unannounced observations
- Provide support following every cluster meeting (e.g. observation/feedback, model teaching, demonstrated lessons and team teaching following every cluster meeting and in individual teacher mentoring situations)
- To provide support and guidance towards school improvement for instructional leaders
- To establish and execute a professional growth and self-evaluation plan including performance objectives.
- To assist teachers & staff in improving the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction through the implementation of effective teaching practices and strategies.
- To promote implementation of state standards through adopted curricula and district resources.
- To collect, analyze and monitor district data in order to drive instructional decisions and improve student learning.
- To submit accurate records and reports
- To follow state and school board policies and see that they are carried out

- Complies with all approved school board policies.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or evaluator.
