QUALIFICATIONS: Retired Marine - Staff Non-Commissioned Officers
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or Candidate may hold an Associate’s Degree or be within 5 years of obtaining one provided the candidate has a minimum of 8 years honorable service and is within 5 years of his official separation date from the Marine Corps.
Valid Military Instructor Qualifications - Marine Corps Training & Education Command (TECOM)

SUPERVISES: No-one

PAY FACTOR: MIP Instructor Pay + $5K 12K additional stipend
JOB GOAL: The Plaquemine High School MCJROTC is seeking an additional Marine Instructor for their high school program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach the Leadership Education portion of the curriculum: general military topics and instruction on Marine Corps history, drill and ceremonies, principles of leadership and management, and communication skills.
- Assist the SMI in instructing Close Order Drill and Manual Arms, Air Rifle Training and Safety, Patriotism, Physical Education and particular areas of special competence aligned to personal experience and training
- Administer and grade tests.
- Provide career counseling.
- Supervise career activities as well as enrollment and co-curricular activities.
- Provide oversight for the MCJROTC Cadets
PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
- Maintains good attendance.
- Reports to work on time.
- Displays professional ethics on and off duty.
- Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board’s Policies
- Reports job-related injuries within 48 hours of work accidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Provide full loyalty, support, and cooperation in achieving the goals set by the SMI.
- Supports administration.
- Assumes responsibility for the implementation of emergency procedures.
- Seeks and maintains a positive attitude toward promoting school and community relations.
- Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and community members.
